
EVENT PURPOSE
The purpose of this event is to raise funds for our military veteran heroes. Period. The purpose is NOT necessarily to have folks complete a full, vested, and unpartitioned Murph workout. Having something to train for is awesome and if you decide that YOUR challenge is a full Murph, awesome! If you decide YOUR challenge is walking two miles, awesome! Anything in between is also... awesome! No matter what you do, you are contributing to the Erie Hero Foundation's success by simply participating in whatever way works for you. Check out the workout options that can make this event work for any fitness level- and then sign up / sponsor / donate / volunteer and help the foundation reach its goals in 2021.

The event is the "Murph" in honor of the life and service of Michael Patrick Murphy, a highly decorated Navy Seal.
A traditional Murph consists of:
1 Mile run
300 squats,
200 push-ups,
100 pull-ups,
1 Mile run
*If you have a 20 pound vest, wear it
